I hate mac's. There to slow and way to over priced. I can get a near identical mac theme on linux
and i don't need itunes to sync my ipod.

The world is changing...I believe market share for mac's is 14% and growing. (66% of all computers that cost more than $1000)

And tech costs for Mac's are so much less than pc's.

Linux are very cheap and robust, (free duh). Plus you need to buy a mac computer to run mac. If you own a pc too bad. Macs are horrible servers. Linux is prettyreliable and low cost. Windows sucks too. But linux all the way. Also mr jobs is a total jerk. (as a person). That guys cold. He is a good business man tho.

I can't find the list atm, but I heard that many companies now have expense accounts at Apple for services and sales...ie. buying macs. This list includes the US Government and IBM

Mac is shame to the unix, linux architecture. They didn't even make there own os. The first mac's were based of bsd/mach.
Itunes is a hog, (do you know how much memory it uses?), and there no real benefit to buy a mac anymore. Heck there people i've seen on youtube run hackintoshes. Ie, illegal macs on pc's, . Believe it or not as macs market share increases viruses for macs are becoming a reality. Linux is pretty strict when a program making changes. You have to be a total idoit, and compile the virus yourself on your on computer to hurt it. Only way to do real damage is go command line.

Mac OS is similar to Linux in the way permissions are set up (each program must have admin ok to run as compared to Windows .exe)

I've had a horrible experience with Windows (and Toshiba but that's another story). My experience with Mac has been golden. If I had *any* problems with my Mac, the tech support took care of it with speed and they were very professional. Loved Mac support <3 (Toshiba? take a number and sky gaze for your answers...if you can understand the techie )

In 2000/2001 a hacker in the UK broke into the Pentagon computer system and caused quite a bit of damage. This hacker had Aspurgers, and was in search of proof of alien data kept by the Pentagon.

I'd be happy if people like the government would just switch to Mac or Linux...just not something with a firewall that makes swiss cheese look solid

Btw mage, my cousin and his wife set up a Linux server, but it was so noisy they called it the washing machine (I'd love ot get more into Linux, but I just don't have the time to learn )

Windows owns either way. it has the most compatible programs. most graphics cards are made for windows and the games r for windows. if ur stupid and dont hav a secured computer without a good antivirus, thats the only way a virus/spyware will get onto ur PC. Personally, microsoft security essentials is just awesome in itself and ive never ever had a virus attack after switchin 2 windows 7. and also, its so secure that its encryption is the best in the OS market. ive read that somewhere...
